Preventive and General Dentistry
Preventive and general dentistry is the foundation of our philosophy at Troutdale Dental. Our health-focused dentists realize that maintaining your natural teeth and preventing oral conditions before they start is the most economical and least invasive approach to care.
Preventive Dentistry Designed for You
The typical recommendation for regular dental care includes twice-yearly dental visits. You are not typical, however, and neither is your smile. We recommend dentistry based on you and your current needs. Biannual dental visits are enough for most people, while others can benefit from more regular visits.
Patients recovering from periodontal disease treatment and patients with pregnancy gingivitis, limited mobility, or who have diabetes are other examples of patients who could benefit from three or four dental cleanings and exams per year.
- Dental exams
- Diagnostic x-rays
- Fluoride treatments
- Dental sealants
- Athletic mouthguards
Our dentists will also evaluate each patient for teeth grinding, oral cancer, and periodontal health. With your regular dental care at the office and at home, you can expect to keep your natural teeth and have a smile that you’re proud of.
General Dentistry for Patients of all Ages
Some dental practices focus on cosmetics, while others treat children only. At Troutdale Dental, we welcome patients of all stages of health at any age. We believe that your family deserves the same courteous and exceptional dentistry we want for our own families.
Restorations such as fillings, crowns, veneers, bonding, inlays, and onlays can make repairs due to wear, decay, fractures, and trauma.
Whenever possible, we use tooth-colored alternatives to blend in naturally with the nearby teeth. Your dentistry should improve, not take away from your smile.
Of course, even with excellent dental care, dental emergencies sometimes arise. If you need a root canal or extraction, we are here for you and can usually perform these necessary dental procedures without a referral to a specialist.
Completing Your Smile
When patients lose teeth, finding the proper replacement will keep the bite and bone healthy while boosting patients’ confidence and nutrition.
- Dental implants
- All-on-4 dentures
- Dental bridges
- Complete and partial dentures
- Implant-supported bridges
You don’t have to choose your tooth replacement treatment alone. Our skilled and experienced dentists, Dr. Clark Brinton and Dr. Brian Hale, will go over each option, share photos and x-rays of your teeth, and answer any questions you may have to help you make a choice that works best for you. We recognize that your smile means your treatment is your decision to make.
